Meet Baby Freddie Born in Lockdown 2020
"We are delighted to welcome our beautiful baby Freddie to our family.
Unfortunately we both had complications which resulted in us staying in hospital for 4 nights. Freddie had a high temperature and became very jittery indicating an infection so was on regular observations. I remember feeling terrified and vulnerable thinking it could be the virus.
However after the all clear I was instantly relieved to get home with my husband Matthew and daughter Evie.
We feel very fortunate to have a healthy new baby and being able to spend quality time adjusting to a family of four. It has been very different experience this time around -it’s so surreal having virtual consultations with health visitors and doctors and not having the usual support network.
I now long for the day that our family and friends who we all miss terribly to eventually meet Freddie and I can then show him off in the big wide world." - Vicky
Being a newborn photographer in Yorkshire it broke my heart that these memories could not be captured in the first weeks. I started this personal project through Zoom to document the feelings new parents are having and spread smiles on the way.
